  • Very chocolatey millet cake with pears

    We suggest trying something a bit unusual. A delicious and moist millet cake with dark chocolate and pears will make a perfect weekend dessert! 

    You will need:


    • 250 g of MULATE baking dark chocolate 70%
    • 150 g of butter
    • 1 cup of cooked millet
    • 50 g of sugar
    • 5 eggs
    • a pinch of salt
    • 4 pears
    • 1 tsp of vanilla extract


    Preparation:


    1. Melt the chocolate together with the butter in a double boiler. Once melted, add the sugar, a pinch of salt, and stir well until the sugar dissolves. Add the eggs one by one and mix the batter well. Pour in the vanilla extract and mix again.
    2. Add the millet and mix everything together.
    3. Sprinkle some sugar in a baking pan and pour in the cake batter. Slice the pears into thin slices and place them on top of the batter. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 40-45 minutes, until the top forms a crust. It may need to bake a little less, depending on your oven. Let the cake cool. It tastes best after being refrigerated for a few hours!
